I just love to play games on my personal computer. Somebody have said be to use CD/DVD emulation software for playing games. I have searched on the internet about CD/DVD emulation software, but I am not getting any clear idea about CD/DVD emulation software. Can anybody give a clear idea about CD/DVD emulation software and also suggest some good CD/DVD emulation software for me to use. If it is possible give a detailed description about CD/DVD emulation software.

I think what you are talking about is an .iso mounter. Essentialy, it takes an .iso file, which is a CD image, or everything on the CD in one file, and creates a virtual CD drive, so the computer thinks that the CD is in the drive.

If you can play games already, you are fine and don't need to worry about it.

ISO mounting I believe. Dameon tools such of what your asking for =]

Anyway, the main details bout the ISO mount software is that you don't need a CD to play "title". Starcraft for example. You don't actually need to have the disc to play if you have Dameon tools and such. Overall saves CD's.

Except since it's for games, it's probably windows where daemons aren't. You have to download special software for windows. That friend isn't a pirate though, is he? After all, .iso mounting's only useful for downloaded games. Otherwise you'll have the CD when you buy it, defeating the purpose.

On Windows you need extra software like Daemon Tools. But Linux has iso mounting built-in. And I think OSX does, too actually. But don't quote me on that.

I believe that Windows 7 finally has support to mount isos, but I don't use it due to Alcohol 120%

Another one to use is Virtual CloneDrive. Install and just let it sit in the system tray (hidden if you want). Then, right click and "mount" the .iso. Simple, yet effective.
