and I agree. Laijin's topic was awesome but I warned him that other people will be *******s and won't play by the rules so that just screws everything up for all of us. I try to let you guys have your fun but there are still limits(and highschoolers i guess lol) in here and when I actually have to moderate that thread (And the Knorr vs bill one) because people want to be morons, I get alternate accounts from people(who can't man up and use their real user name op top of hiding behind a PC >_>) Flaming bill and moderators. I'm not bothered by the flames personally but it's still against the rules.

yeah, i didnt close the thread cuz i quit modding when i woke up one day and realized i spent so much time lurking smashboards and all i really wanted to do was play mafia and do well in school.

dont worry, i love and accept homosexuals and i dont mind that you called me a *** under any context, because ive only chatted with you in person a few times and you seemed like a decent guy, and i know that your views of the forum differ from mine and this time (and every time) the people with my views got their way because that is the way it has always been on swf. but this is your community as much as it is mine (and your plural being players as much as our plural being forum-goers who only go to a few tournaments a year), if not more because you are a much larger figure in the smash tournament community, and your opinion is not really a minority opinion.

there was no nudity, but there could easily have been, and i thought the thread was silly and called it ridiculous. i voiced my opinion on that and it got locked, not solely because of my opinion, but i think my opinion made it happen. but im not a mod anymore.

my favorite thing i did as a mod was to develop and run the community down in Decisive Games where we play Mafia all the time. there are currently like 6 games going on and a new game starts about once a week, and i helped create that community and ive made some great friends through it. however, the other things that i supported very much through giant convincing walls of text were social boards for every regional room and custom avatars for everyone, and another that i did not get were custom titles for everyone.

i wouldnt object to the thread being re-opened, but i would feel bad for mike g and dogy (does that guy ever do any work?? who the hell recommended him for modship??) for having to police it.

and i left this sitting for like 30 minutes while i made dinner and i think im just going to leave it at "do as you please but dont blame me"

It's not really Mike's call, I'm sure.

Still, removing the social board would just make the spam move to places it's even less welcome, and it would probably be harder to moderate. I don't think it would really solve the problem.
