What if in Brawl Sakurai grants some peoples wishes, and puts Sonic in Brawl. Okay so its Dec.4 and you just unlocked him.You think to yourself "OMG Sonic is going to be teh pwner!@!"!.You go to vs mode and try him out. But.........

HE SUCKS HORRIBLY!!!!!!!

Speed ends up being it. He can barley do any damage, horrible throws,he weighs nothing, horrible attacks, special attacks, jumps and can easily be KO'ed at 45% and still ends up only having average speed.It ends up really being a slap in the face to Sonic fanboys everywhere, like Mewtwo was a dissapointment to most pkmn/brawl fanboys. Would you still play as him?

when i first unlocked sonic i would like "ok, the fanboys got their wish" but when i realized he sucked i would never stop laughing. i think i would actually die laughing if this happened its that funny

I'd still play as him, of course. I'm a pretty true blue fanboy (though, not the crazy type that I've seen ClarkJables describe).

I don't play competitively. If I did, I probably wouldn't use him in those cases. But since I just play for fun I have no problem playing as a terrible character if I like him or her enough.

I would still use him a few times to annoy other players and keep running/dodging around them.
Also, he would be my new pichu punching bag... it'd be great if you could set the AI to evade mode and run around trying to kill 3 spazzy sonics.

If Sonic sucked then i would master him and use him to beat noobs. That way it would have the whole "you just got beat by a horrible character" atmostphere to my victory. Oh, and I would have a pretty good laugh at Sonic fanboys if he sucked.

here's what you do: play with him anyway. Tiers are a figment of your imagination. If you really like Sonic that much (or any character for that matter) you will find a way to be good with him. The character only sucks as much as the person behind the controller. Practice, cause skill is the only thing that matters.

Remember that a skilled player using a sucky character will still beat a noob using a top tier, almost any day.

Yeah I hope Sonic's controls aren't as bad as his 3d games.. Haha, but once you get the hang of it, its alright. But the camera was the thing that would piss you off the most in the games.

Still.. I'll try em all out.. See who I like best. Just hope he will indeed be in the game so I can actually try him out.

Sonic's only my 4th favorite character of his franchise (coming up short to Shadow, Tails, and Knuckles, in that order) but I'm still rooting for him for Brawl because he's the only one of the lot of them that has a shot, imho.

The way I see it, the odds of there being more than one Sonic character are astronomical. And if there's gonna be one, it'd have to be the blue blur himself.
