What if you went back in time?

Ok, well what if, today, you went back in time to when the dojo was a few weeks old? And what if you saved the biggest hits that you planned on making a fan thing out of? Let's put it this way, you're back in time to when the dojo was a few weeks old with all the information on all of the biggest future updates. Would you keep it to yourself or would you take a chance, risk reputation and try to leak it to the Smash community? It's a big choice. If you did it and people trusted you then it may be considered a drout unless you planned it out right, thus making hype a little changed. Although, on the other hand, you'd be sitting there watching people speculate about it while you're about to bust trying to keep it secret. I personally would plan it out before doing anything so I don't mess it up. This thread can make you think about Brawl history and how important the way things went on the dojo. Tell me what you'd do, what you think, discuss.

Ah yes, but if you told it the wrong way then they may not believe you. Who's going to believe you're from the future?

i'd let everyone know the true release date upfront, also letting them know that they would delay it the same day we would receive sonic, just so they know i'm a credible source

I'd save images to a jump drive and leak them. Then I'd say I work for Nintendo and could get in HUGE trouble for this.

Now that's believable. Although people without a doubt would always be suspicious of delay until it is officially delayed. I'm not sure how that would go across, probably mixed signals.

It would depend on how prepared I was for this time travel... if the time jump was by my own cause on purpose, I'd probably take the time to save a list of every Dojo update leading up to December 10th... just because I'm evil like that.
Of course there would be some movie/picture/music proof for some of the more significant updates, just to sweeten the deal for everyone.

If I couldn't take anything with me for whatever reason, I'd just have to keep comparatively silent and maybe I'd just mention things in a casual way, so everyone doesn't accuse me of being foul leaker scum... since I've pretty much seen how this board takes to people who don't have solid proof through pictures or movies, and I can see why!

I don't think I would have wanted everything spoiled for me 8~ months before launch. That would have been horrible, the Dojo updates have kept me interested in the game all this time.

I would tell everyone "Okay guys, it's not coming out on December 3rd, it's actually coming out on February 10th. Oh, and CoroCoro has no new info."

Then I would play Smash Bros with myself.

Whoa... I just realised.... What if you were to go back in time.... and tell yourself every update on every exact day, and then you'd be the SUPERPROPHET, and you came back to the present and for some reason you were eternally bored?

If I could go back in time Im pretty sure anything involving the Dojo would not be very high on my to-do list.

If the time travel was voluntary I would wait until I had my copy of brawl. then I would leak only a few things. After that I'd be in my basement with the lights off playing brawl while mooching off of my past self.

All in all though I wouldn't want to ruin everything for everyone like others have already said. Mainly because I haven't been excited about updates since E for all.

Edit: I would also challenge myself to a duel every day and always win, because as he gains experience so do I. Plus I gain experience that he doesn't. I would be so good by the time brawl came out I would clean house at all tournaments.

If I went back in time, I would bring a bunch of work with me so that I would be ahead of schedule... Oh! You meant about the Dojo. I'd log onto Smash boards and leak the known roster and list of assist trophies.

I would probably just list info.

First, I would predict the next 2 week's updates perfectly, to gain thier trust, then I'd say things like

On October 10th, Sonic will be announced. The release date will be changed to TBD, which will soon be revealed to be February 10th.

And also mention Stage Builder, and Dedede, and Wi-Fi, and all the best updates.

Then, before returning to the future, I would go bet on several things, and win ALOT of money, then buy an HDTV, and all sorts of other awesome things.

If I could go back in time, I would take Sakurai as my hostage and let him begin with the game in the year 2000 and command him to work at the game UNTIL this month, and release it in all countries at the same time.....We'd get the game much sooner, AND, we'd get a perfect game, since 8 years of development were being used...maybe the universe would explode, but whatever, it's worth the shot...
