What if this game has no intro?

I can actually see that happening, You start up the application and after the trademark screens it just splashes the "Press Any Button" screen.

The Wii U version will without a doubt have an intro, But what about this game?

Honestly I don't really mind. I think it will have and intro. But in case it doesn't, i really don't care.

I expect it will have an intro video, but honestly, I only watch it a few times per game when I'm bored or waiting for someone to get in the room to play, so I wouldn't miss it that much.

Well, I just think it's a possibility since most 3DS or Portable games that don't have any story or a campaign mode usually just drop you right in.

Well that was only like 45 seconds while the other legendary Smash Bros intros are around 2 minutes.

But you still do make a very good point, Both versions may have the same intro and since the 3DS version is coming out first... Were gonna see the Smash Bros 4 intro for the first time on a little portable screen.

Yeah, I guess it was a dumb assumption to think this won't have an intro. It would probably just make the game seem smaller compared to the Wii U Version anyway.

That would be great; I honestly wish that more games would do it like that. There's plenty of other places to put game credits in a game without wasting the player's time every time they turn the game on.

Pokemon X/Y was pretty good about it; it still had an intro but it was immediately skippable. Some 3DSware games also load straight to the title screen.

Even though anything like Subspace Emissary is taking to the sidelines for SSB4, hopefully there's at least one cutscene. I dont even care what it is, I just want something a little cinematic, maybe in all star mode since this time around it's based off the year of the character's release.

I see them cutting up the trailers if they want to cut corners. Animation isn't cheap, but not every character appears in the trailers so who knows.

Well the recent short commercial has just as good CG as the trailers, And this IS the game's intro for crying out lot. Subspace Emissary is gone so we will probably get an original intro again.

I am hoping, but I am stating a possibility. I really hope to see an original opening sequence with some short clips of characters interacting together.

I'm the type of guy that when I first turn on the game I will sit and watch the entire opening. When I did this for Fire Emblem: Awakening I was blown away!! That being said I hope it has one but if not I usually only watch it once. (Save the Awakening opening)

Fire Emblem Awakening had one and Smash is "more important" for lack of better words, than FEA was. I think even Kirby Triple Deluxe had one too? I'm like 95% sure 3DS Smash will have an opening
