What if on 'With Anyone' online play, the admins are like the admins on Miiverse?
For those who don't know, Miiverse has terrible admins. They delete posts that say 'Hi, I'm new here.' (Not kidding, that happened to someone) yet things like inappropriate drawings aren't deleted.
Anyway, back in topic, what if the admins for 'With Anyone' play are like the ones on Miiverse? If they are, then 'With Anyone' online play might be bad, with little kids false reporting just because they were defeated. O_O
But I hope and think Sakurai will get some good admins.

I know about the baseless reports, but I'm saying that if the admins are like the ones on Miiverse, then that rule will be overlooked by them.

You're mixing up the authenticity and credibility of moderators on a social platform for children with those getting paid to supervise online content in a game played by millions.

Miiverse admins have several tons of garbage reports to sift through. The only reason some slip by is because of the shear volume.

Anyway, play for Glory 1v1s and the only thing people will want to report you for is cheating. Which the admins will most likely ignore for a couple months.

You're assuming the Smash 4 admins will deliberately disregard the 'baseless reporting' guideline they are inclined to judge by.

How about we wait until the game actually comes out before making a thread like this. Besides, With Anyone and Miiverse differ greatly communication wise. Besides, a situation like that would be detrimental to Smash 4's online success!

People on Miiverse are very dumb and annoying too. So I suppose they broke the admins?
And I'm pretty sure Nintendo will care a lot more for a non toxic community in Smash Bros. were people can really abuse and make an "unpleasant" experience por playing than in Miiverse, were a comment can't really harm a lot.

More paranoia I see. I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly, I haven't seen that bad of modding from miiverse. Of someone randomly posted that they were new in the wrong place I'd delete it too. And every "inappropriate picture" I have been linked to was gone when I got there. Sure, little kids may report stuff for stupid reasons, but I trust that the team they're putting together will handle things well. It seems to be something they want to do right this time.

Fighting games+Admins without proper experience with fighitng games = bad combo. People already get salty if they lose, even if it is in the most unserious mode ever.

I don't think there will be a problem. I'd like to think only actual abuses would get reported though the "targeting one person" wording is fairly vague. Does it mean...I take out one person first? Does it mean I poke them off the stage so they can't come back from it?

I got the impression that you are not allowed to pick a player and dedicate your entire game to attacking that one person. Basically, it's the difference between playing to win, and playing to make a specific player lose even if that means acting against your own interest. The latter will get you a ban.

That's just my prediction, but it's the only interpretation I've come up with that makes any reasonable sense.

It'll be the exact same situation as it will be if the only For Glory option is timed matches - we won't use With Anyone mode and just use Smashboards for matchmaking.;)

No, it means that you are constantly attacking one player and that player only. Of course, this is the scenario that will occur in 1 vs 1's but this is something that is against the rules in FFA.

Yeah, they are.
People post stupid things on miiverse

The mods delete those stupid things

If you ask me, they aren't deleting enough of the stupid things.

They are too lenient

They may be stupid but they're the kind of stupid that's hilarious, with the exception of Black and White hentai drawings and it's not even good hentai

I'm pretty sure it'll be fine.
If not, eh, I'll just stick to With Friends and Local.

So, 'Hi, I'm new here.' Is a stupid post?
It kind of is. I'm a Moderator for Capcom's Official Forums actually and those types of Posts aren't allowed in any section except for Off Topic, which MiiVerse lacks.

Still, 90% of posts on Miiverse are off-topic, yet they decide to delete the new guy's post out of all then.

I've never gone to a forum and posted "Hi I'm new here"

I feel it's best to not draw attention to yourself as a noob

Draw attention to yourself with quality posts

A 'quality post' on Miiverse is usually Rosalina in a bikini.
I'd prefer 'Hi, I'm new here'.

It depends on what posts the Admins see and what posts get Reported to them.
Moderators/Admins aren't infallible, we do miss things when they're not reported, that is why that function is there to begin with.

Also, if the post is even partially related to the section it is found in, its usually alright unless notably inappropriate.

Is this whole anti-admin attitude because you feel personally offended they deleted your "Hi I'm new here" post?

Also what's inappropriate of Lucina in a bikini?

The way it's drew is just a little more, revealing.
Also, it wasn't my post, it was some other guys post. I just have beef with admins because of highly unfair false report I got.

I view the definition of "inappropriate" as something people don't want to see

There is no one that doesn't want to see a hot girl in a bikini

Now if it was some ugly girl or fat, that's another thing.

What about the female body, especially (specifically) prime specimens, isn't appropriate?

Is it? I always figured it was just semi smart play in ffa if you had to attack. You take out the best player first and if you are the best player you camp out and run trying to sneak in last hits.

I dunno, I dont like that rule and it seems like it could be abused for punishing players for something not too serious.

On an E rated community, though?
"Rule 36. There will always be more ****ed up **** than what you just saw."

Aka, get over it. It happens.

It won't.
Those in charge of Super Smash Bros. 4's online will take it far more seriously then MiiVerse, which itself is fairly laughable.

If the Drawing was actually too revealing, they'd have gotten rid of it. Different people have different views over what is and isn't appropriate..plus a drawing of Rosalina or Lucina is still relevant to the subject of the section.

Well you know. Admins nowadays are using their meathammer rather than their banhammer
