What If Melee Were Available on the WiiU Virtual Console?

Specifically, would this make you more accepting of a less competitively viable SSB4? What if it had good online thrown in to boot? I know not everyone here would want a Melee 2.0, but I have a hard time imaging most of us wouldn't enjoy it, but what if instead we got a rerelease? Would this be close enough? What if they added characters?

It would be for me since my Melee disc got all scratched up, and I don't really want to buy a used copy for fear of the same problem, and well new copies are hard to come by and are really expensive. I'm curious if any of you are in similar boats, or if there is some feature that Melee lacked that people would like to see added, and that is where the desire for a more true sequel comes from.

Yeah, I don't think there's a solid reason to have this topic here. Thinly veiled pro-melee anti-everything else subject. If you want to talk about Melee coming to the VC, maybe you should do it in the Melee forums. Smash 4 is going to be played competitively.
