What If A Seasoned Vet Doesn't Return?

Hey there. I'm new to these boards. Recently I have been thinking, we sure haven't seen alot of our seasoned veterans since smash 4 was announced. In fact 3 of the original 12 have yet to make an appearance. (Ness, Capt. Falcon, Jigglypuff)

I know the likelihood they're coming back is very high, but if for some strange reason they were to not return would you try and do something about it? Personally I would rally a petition if Falcon or Ness don't come back, and protest the game. What would you do if any of the seasoned vets don't make an appearance for whatever reason. I know it's crazy, but who knows at this point. Just thought I'd ask. See how the community feels about this subject.

(FYI: I could have sworn Nintendo is trying to forget Earthboand atm. Not sure, but if it's true I worry about ness)

Ehhh. The only Original 12 I was ever fearful of getting cut was maybe Yoshi back in the days before the direct when people were pushing the idea he was getting cut.

I don't have much of a connection to Ness or Jigglypuff so I wouldn't be too upset to see them go. Falcon I'm on the fence about because I love him as a charcter in Smash even if the only F-Zero game I played was the first one.

If they didn't make it in for release for whatever reason, people would probably end up asking for them as DLC (especially the Cap'n), so I would be among them.

I honestly want them to cut Jiggly or Ness to prove that just because a character is an old Vet, it doesn't mean they're that important anymore.

I mean, the original 12 were the quickest made and least fleshed out of all the characters we have now. So why not remove 1 or 2 of them so we can accommodate some fresh meat into smash 4?

Honestly? I probably would not buy it. Removing any of the original 12 is a kick in the face to the original game that started it off. If they're confirmed to come back via DLC for both versions, yes.

They're way too important to me as is. They're what make the series interesting in the end as all 12 of them have brought a ton to the game. Combos, Music, Competitive Value, memes, and paved the way for even more awesome characters. Given the choice I'd have all characters return in some way. If a Pokemon is to leave, it must be a Poke Ball at least. For a regular character, Assist Trophy. However, none of the original 12 is anything but highly important to Smash as a whole, so... leave 'em there forever. Regardless, that kills the series for me.

Well Ness, C. Falcon and Jigglypuff have been secret unlockables in the past. It makes sense that they haven't been revealed yet.

The Captain is coming back Sakurai already talked about the Falcon punch in an interview and Ganondorf should get his own moveset,
it doesn' t fit him to go punching people... He needs either dark magic or two swords but the Captain's moves don't suit him at all.
Ness and Jigglypuff are in danger cause many people seem to prefer Lucas and Mewtwo, wouldn't really care if they kicked them out.

I hope jiggs doesnt make the cut, i prefer a newer character. Her specials kinda suck too (except side+b and rest).

Even though I'm not too fond of Jiggs, if Ness and the Cap'n don't show, it won't feel like a Smash game to me.

But I doubt any of the original 12 is getting cut.

I really just don't see the merit of this thread and I dislike where it's going. There's other threads that kinda follow this topic in a less heinous manner. Maybe even the Unconfirmed veterans forum.
