Assist Trophy. Now go cry in your corner because you couldn't figure that out.
Wow... be nice he even specified he was new...
AT is Assist Trophy OR Advanced Techniques.
Teirs are how good a char is based on tourny results (im pretty sure).
Also its an inside joke on Smash Boards to say "Tires don exits".

Over there
AT can mean Assist Trophy, but since items are rarely spoken of here, there's a good chance they were saying Advanced Technique. An advanced technique is basically any technique that people use that you won't find in the instruction manual. For instance, Directional Influence (pushing in the opposite direction when your being hit off screen to help get back to the stage), the reverse aerial rush, bomb jumping, whatever. there are a lot of them to find out more go to the tactical discussion forum. As for tiers, tiers are basically how good a character is. The higher the tier, the better chance that, that character would win if both players were equally skilled. Again, consult tactical discussion for more info. I do apologize for the behavior of the people in this thread. Next time try to use the search button or ask in the simple question thread stickied at the top. The end. :)
