What Do You Think The Announcer Should Sound Like in the New Smash?

Albeit a hilarious idea, I'm not an advocate for sexualization in video games. Not just Nintendo games. Haha people may disagree, but it just makes me feel uncomfortable.

not sure how well it'd work because a male voice sounds more fierce, but im sure it could work. can anybody think example where it did?

true that... still it would be much fresher to have some new sound in there... Of course there's a ton of different voices so it's kinda hard to describe the one i'm thinking about, but I guess the classic narrator will return anyays...

Okay, totally impossible, but it will probably make you guys crack up if you think about it long enough. Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy as the announcers. I will just leave you guys to imagine the possibilities.

Practically though, whatever Nintendo does, I am sure it will be worth the hype.

Bring the guy from the first Smash Back. I hope we have multiple announcers to choose from though. That would be a nice little feature.

Regardless of gender, the announcer needs to be over-the-top sounding. Not too hammy, though, it has to sound believable. I really liked the Smash 64 and Melee announcers. Heck, the Brawl one was okay, too, but not as memorable.

I think Erin Fitzgerald would make a great announcer. Imagine "Free for all!" in her voice. She's quite talented as a voice actress and has alot of range. I mean... compare Chie's voice with Parasoul's voice. I think she should go with the latter sounding of the two.

I have been training ever since I first played brawl for this role. Being the announcer is my dream job, I practice every character's name in front of a mirror at night.

I wouldn't mind the announcer being more monstrous, as if Master Hand himself is calling the shots. Hand or not, it needs to be imperious, yet excited. I'd settle for a female announcer if she could meet those standards.

But in all seriousness, I'm all for the classic Smash 64-style voice overs.
