I usually practice
  • shooting slingshot as low to the ground as possible
  • lloid follow-ups
  • fair -> fair strings, uair -> uair
  • "one-drop technique"
...but i'm at a bit of a loss for other things to drill. What do you normally practice?

Small combos, edgeguard setups, actual edge guarding, and grab range.

DIRTBUS?

I'd recommend becoming a master of teching.

Is there even a way in training to get yourself stagespiked for techs?
Yes.

Make a square with lava. Enter the square. Touch the lava over and over until your percent is higher, and then just bounce around, teching as much as possible until it becomes second nature.

Guys, Please help.

I can't get the timing of SH>FF Fair autocancel lag consistently. Back airs (can cancel with a short dash, but might be doing it wrong) are fine but this (laggy fairs) is are one of my problems.

SH Rising BAir FF is a free no landing lag, much easier
For a Rising SH FAir, there's a small time you need to wait in order to get the fast fall cancel.
SH FAir -very small delay- FF.
