Today on halloween sakurai confirmed alternate costumes and the first one is the wii fit trainer with the male version of herself (ps probably a voice change oviously when switch costumes)

So what are your ideas for characters confirmed and not confirmed yet

Dr. Mario, Pichu, Dixie and Daisy are possible, but for many of the characters (Ice Climbers, ROB, G&W), the choices aren't as obvious, so I wouldn't get your hopes up that we'll see alternates for every character.

I definatly agree not all characters will get costumes probably be aiming for the most popular

I mean mario with dr mario definatly the most likely as of now (remember the doc was part of the forbidden 7)

Maybe daisy for peach but change the voice and (now i really doubt he would do this but change a few moves when in the daisy costume)

I really doubt pichu will be an alternate for pikachu

And i might do character who could be playable

Maybe little mac with getting the head gear helmet when you loose 100 times in punch out wii

Ridley with meta ridley (or other m ridley and super metroid ridley this is more likely if ridley is confirmed)

And the last one i got maybe this means samus's super metroid suit might be saved but doubtful

Moves aside, I would imagine the Male Fit Trainer getting his own voice over to go with his costume.

There was a full Daisy colour scheme but it worked.
They didn't change anything besides the colour.
Same with the Link's.
But it worked because everything stayed the same except the colour.

Seeing as male Wii Fit Trainer is likely to have a different voice, it's not too far-fetched that we could see a Daisy alternate with a different voice and the same moveset.

But seriously, some alternate costumes I would like to see are a Dark Pit alternate costume, a Classic Sonic costume, and a "Masked Swordsman" costume for Marth. Ike could also have his Radiant Dawn appearance as an alternate costume. Oh, and there could also be different dresses for Zelda, such as her Ocarina of Time Dress, and maybe a Midna dress.

This is one of the few "alt costumes which are actually not the same character" situation I would accept. Basically all the "dark" characters.
Like Mario / Shadow Mario (which is actually Bowser Jr.), Pit / Pitto, Yoshi / Boshi and Captain / Blood.
Basically because is the only logical way to implement them, since they don't offer interesting new things regarding the moveset and as clones would be an incredible waste.

I'm not totally sure that everyone is going to get alt. costumes. This Wii Fit costume/variation may be a special case like Pikachu, Wario and Jigglypuff. I hope we do get alt. costumes, though.

That said, I tried picking costumes that were most iconic to the characters and their respective series. No alternate character skins, though.

I don't know how the magic works.
I just know ever since Super Mario Bros 2 Peach could float while wearing her dress.
It's a magic dress.
It would just look too weird to see her floating without it.

And like I've said before, Peach had a Daisy colour scheme in Brawl and it worked because she was still Peach.
Change her voice and alter the dress and moves makes her a completely new character. Not simply a costume change.
That's the issue every seems to be missing.

I don't want to get into a war with you because you have such high hopes for costume changes to the point where they take away from the certain characters identity.
