what are you hoping for: new trailor or gameplay vids

would you guys prefer a new trailor to come out, with a beutiful score and maybe a newcomer or returing new characters...

I read somewhere that Smash was not shown at the summit, all that was guarenteed was that it'll be out this year.

I have a feeling we'll get a slow trickle of screenshots/information/music up until E3, when they'll release a new trailer, or a bunch of gameplay footage, or character bio movies, etc.

The screenshots are honestly doing it for me right now. They're pretty enough to gawk at and still leave suspense for what's coming next.

where did you read that? because it was a MEDIA event after all.... not to include ssbb would be weird, but at the same time garentee a trailor for E3

Umm, I read Reggie's entire speech and the only time he mentioned SSBB was when he said "...and later this year you'll be able to play super mario galaxy, super smash bros. brawl, and other Wii titles," or something to that extent.

yea, i read that brawl was only mentioned as a list of games that are to be released in 2007. a trailer would be nice, but these daily updates are doing just fine.

Why would I want to see new gameplay when I can see new every day on smashbros.com? A new trailer with new characters is my hope.

I'm going to have to take the other point and say gameplay, preferably between highly skilled players.

I'm excited to see new characters, but I'm more interested in the physics and new abilities. Let's see somebody make efffective use of crawling, or even watch an entirely new technique. Likewise, what about the "increased Aerial combat?" A couple full matches would give us a much better idea of what that will be.

As much as I want other information, I'm more interested in changes to the core gameplay than changes to the roster.

hmm.. i seem to be the only one who wants like.. i duno maybe just one match between a few of the characters - from start to finish. So i can see how the engine works and the effects of everything in motion for large quantities of time. I'd like to see all of fox's moves done on people, get to grips with the new... 'more arial' time of gameplay

I'd personally prefer a trailer, as those usually offer some gameplay anyway. After we a get a few more characters confirmed, then I'll look forward to some gameplay videos.

i'd have to go with trailers, i just wanna see more new charcters and stuff, i mean, gameplay can wait until its released, i dont wanna spoil my game with "ooh so thats what mario did in that gameplay footage i saw". plus, seeing actual game play would just make you feel less hyped, meaning when the games finally comes out, you'll get bored with it much faster than you would have, had you seen a new trailer instead.
