Hey, i've just received my Link Amiibo yesterday and the thought came in my mind "What if I turned this into a god and used it in tournaments...?"

Well, what if? What are the rules in tournaments when it comes to Amiibos?

What I need answered:

1. What % of tournaments allow Amiibos?
2. Are fed Amiibos allowed?

If I can have those two questions answered, and the second one in great detail i'd be extremely grateful.

At one point i'd like to join tournaments and play myself/see where my Amiibo could do if I trained it endlessly. But my main concern is should I feed it? I don't want to feed my Amiibo and not be able to use it in tournaments.

But yeah, thanks.

They're banned. No question, they're banned from any regular tournament, But, people do sometimes have amiibo cockfight side events, which mos of the time will include fed amiibos.

But what about that person that entered in a Fox Amiibo in a tournament and almost won? That was a regular tournament, no?

Also, even if it's not allowed. Do you think I should continue training my Amiibo without customs? Or should I feed it?

All of the players in the venue agreed to let him enter it that time. It's normally banned.

Ah, I see. But as I asked in another post, even if it's not allowed. Do you think I should continue training my Amiibo without customs? Or should I feed it?

Purely up to you. I don't feed mine, they get strong enough even without it (plus I clear all equipment off my system as I earn it, since I cleared the challenge grid and removing it lets me Random with customs on without getting equipment stats).

If you want to make it a true nightmare, feed it. If you want it to be a bit closer to a realistic opponent, don't.

Amiibos are more geared towards the general boards than here, despite it having traveled from there to here.
Competitive play (in context of what we're referring to) has little to do with amiibos, you can't have them enter tournaments in place of you; maybe you would get the TO to allow a team mate to be one in doubles, but it wouldn't pass as a standard, ever.
