I used to play gw three years ago then left smash now I am back and been playing yoshi but I realize that GW counters many characters yoshi is bad against so might as well pick him up. but I know the metagame has changed a lot so what vids should I be watching to see how he is played well today?

They're hard to find. Honestly I think GW is a character where mimicking people definitely doesn't work since he's a more mental/read based character. You have to be smart to use GW and make him non-linear. Even if Vinnie actually did use GW ( :troll: ) you wouldnt learn much, you're not vinnie, vinnie is just really good and when he uses GW he applies the same **** he does for other characters. Alphicans has the most recent videos i would think. You may learn a few things by watching players like GIMR and UTDZac (his videos are older though, he retired)

But yeah you just have to figure out what works for you. You won't learn much outside of matchup specifics, you just have to play really smart. What matchups are you picking GW up for? I can give you strats and ideas but that's all they are.

Vinnie has the most recent vids up for those rare times he uses G&W.
His match vs junebug from the top of my head.
edit: He uses G&W more in doubles obviously so there's more vids of that.

Alphicans also has daily vids that go unseen cuz Canada smash :T.

UTDwack vids for diddy and snake MU
Dubz as well.

I stalk all the G&W mains =p

Lol true! That's what I meant. He knows exactly how to use G&W to keep control ON and OFF the stage..... also does anyone else know any other Japanese G&Ws? Does the Japanese community have something like smashboards?

I don't care much about Japanese players. They play way too differently.

Well, when I had Brood, Suinoko, and Fujita over, they recommended these Game and Watches:
>Tarai
>Kiruso
>Kein

Just go YouTube fishing for them.

Those differences could help advance some play styles a bit.

The Japanese metagame is so different from ruleset too. It is pretty much irrelevant to me. Alphy and Vinnie are the most important players to me atm.
Also dat Finnish metagame.
