Ok guys I'll be driving up there myself also (Along with rej in another car).

Schedule goes as follows (Subject to change):

Friday: Leave SoCal head to SF, arrive at Pokemon's house and have a smashfest. Then we eat and rest up. Big day tomorrow!

Saturday: Tourney Day 1, then we head back to Pokemon's place rest up the night.

Sunday: Tourney Day 2. From here it's up to you guys, we can stay another night at Pokemon's place or leave to SoCal as soon as the tourney finishes up.

I'll be taking a Ford Excursion that seats 8 people., 9 if someone trunks it (Which isnt bad cause the trunk is basically another row of space in the back of the truck) All I ask for is help with the gas (Obviously) I say about $15 Gas

Post and let me know if you are interested, talk to me on AIM cause that would be way better!

Once we have all spots confirmed in, i'll try to contact all of you to settle any problems or questions. Also where and when u guys wanna eat on the way there and stuff like that.

First come first serve basis guys

So far we have: (Confirmed)
1. Race
2. Rina-Chan
3. Zero
4. Bardull
5. Doppelganger
6. JonT
7. Tyrant
8. Mio
9. Uchiha

(Someone has to trunk it)

Yeah, that was something I was worried about.

IIRC, there was a poorly done MS-Paint job explaining the "Battles of Destiny" rule, or something like that, which made the whole tournament seem kind of...unprofessional? I don't know, maybe I shouldn't be judging a tournament host by how good they are with MS-Paint. >_>

I still have my doubts, and I haven't really done any research on it, which is why I'm still kind of worried.

I don't really want to go through the seemingly endless Smash League thread, so can someone who is an established tournament host/player vouch for it?

yeah, knowing i have $100 coming to me basically makes the trip more than free

i'm just really not looking forward to a 12-14 hour round trip car ride unless i have a lot of weed

i probably don't have enough discipline to fully quit now (and tbh i really don't want to, i just think i should), but i'm definitely taking a break

how long that break lasts, no idea, just gotta take it a day at a time ;)

Ok, I talked to CGCGrayFox and he said this tournament was good to go and in the right hands.

The venue is made up of 3 big rooms and a courtyard. Neat.

I'm 100% in now.

Three big rooms and a courtyard.. ? That sounds interesting. And I really do want to play Norcal in Melee as well. So I'm definitely considering going.

You're right, don't judge a book by its cover... we all learned that the hard way by going to Axis.

I'm almost positive that I could commit to going. Put me on the list, I'll go unless something unexpected gets in the way.

Put me on the maybe list.

I want to go to SoCal in December, and I'll feel really ****ed over if everyone is at WCSL.

Jon T and Tyrant are 100% confirmed available on that weekend. If you can take them along, that would be awesome.

hmm, I guess you're right. Going to Norcal for only $25 is pretty cheap. I'm confirmed for going.

I'm top priority on the "maybe" list *****es :)

it's $30 all together now (+$5) cause looking at prices online I dont think 90$ all together will cut a room for one night at an inn

so $15 for gas and $15 for room

I'm still looking at prices. If I can find a cheap place i'll lower the price again. i'm just playing safe

I live a hour south of the venue.

I have been there a few times.

How would you all like to stay at my apartment the night before and the night of the tourney?

This will have to be discussed obviously but I am down to house the 8 or so people and have epic smash fest at my house as well.

All Id want is a ride there.

<3 for so cal, I am from Rancho Cucamonga just moved up here to Nor Cal.

We will see.
I have decent sized one bedroom apartment with living room/dining area, I have had asmash fest with 4 set ups and like 15 people here.

8 should not be bad at all.

Lets see how this progresses.
I can get a ride to SFSU no prob, but I offered to house because =

1- <3 for So Cal
2- its much more epic this way.
3- I want to get to have smash fest with out of towners spread teh smash love.
4- And I get love for hook up, i know I like saving money, I am sure all of you will too. Hotels get costly.

Yeah Pokemon Master, It would be awesome if we could crash at ur place. I mean it would cut travel cost in half! But yeah if ur gracious enough to offer us a place to stay we wont pass it up. Talk to me on AIM so we can set things up
