Remember that Sakurai DID say that some of the content shown on the DOJO might be cut from the final version of the game. But remember that a lot of things were cut specifically for the demo, the crates / barrels appearance feature was probably just removed from the demo to reserve some memory space.

Yea this is simply a hastily made demo. All the pretty little details (as well as other things of course) will be in the final version so no worries.

Lol you must have a small capacity for brain storage (jk). I think it would be simple really. In the end it really comes down to "break this open stuff comes out " Crates look like crates barrels shaped like barrels etc. I think it would be nice if they were different in every level.
