Weird Yoshi Glitch??

So i was playing on FD as falco, fighting a cpu yoshi, and i decided to use a down smash. Well, the computer decided to power shield and for some reason he slid across the stage, much like samus' super wavedash. Is this something new that could be used as a yoshi tech? Or has this happened before?
Version is 1.02. i am using 20XX 4.6, although i dont think that would change any physics or anything?

Edit: so like a minute after the post, yoshi slid across the stage again after power shield-ing a d-tilt.
7 minutes after editing i did a d-air and he slid too

I personally forgot what causes this (I though it was related to light shielding but maybe not) but it is a well known effect

Powershielding a non projectile move increases knockback, yoshi already has low traction on the ground so combined he can end up sliding very far.
