weird lag/fps drop on kaillera

Hi every1 im starting to play smash online using kaillera but i get a very weird lag or frame rate drop. I get around 40-45 ms ping but once i enter in game, the fps fluxuates randomy from 15-60. offline is perfectly fine.

doubt hardware is the issue here, as i run a quad core with geforce gts 250 n 4gb of ddr2 ram.

i know there is another thread abt issues with kaillera but my case seems diff so i decided to make another thread. would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me out on this, thanks.

well if it doesn't happen offline then its your internet. Sounds like you might be using wifi, in which case you should use an ethernet for steadier connection. If that's not it then I don't know, get new internet? Sorry if this isn't much help

Edit: Don't use internet while playing. That means no downloading/uploading, no instant messenger, no internet windows up at all. Really you shouldn't have any programs up at all if you're getting any lag issues.

If anybody else is on your network, you'll experience problems.

Run this. If you see, in bright blue letters, anything about packet queuing, you'll likely never be able to play on your current connection.

Im having similar problems in that i do not think hardware is the issue.

k i tried connecting directly to my modem n theres no lag, my router is doing something. are there any ports i need to forward? or a specific nat type it requires?
