So I was thinking of holding an all Luigi tournament. What do you guys think? Good times? Or epic fail? =P

if u wanted to improve your skill you should of recorded a match and asked the ike forums for input and such. Now I know why my thread failed when I tried to play against other Ike players...this is good to know at least, but now I feel stupid for trying to get others to help me improve my skill with Ike...
But isn't the skill the only thing you really got in a ditto match? I mean its mostly about mindgames and technical applications since both players have the same options. It makes sense for a ditto match to require skill, whats your reasoning?3 things you should know if you do this.
1 If you hold it in-person, you'll never get all of (or likely most of) the good Luigi's out there.
2 If it's on wifi, many people wont play. Wifi, even "lagless" wifi is not a true test of skill. If someone is far better than his/her opponent, then the difference will likely show, but if the skill level is fairly close, anything could happen.
3 Ditto's don't prove skill. Luigi vs Luigi tournaments will not probably have the best luigi as the victor.
So you should be sure to make it known that this tournament will in no way determine "the best Luigi" (you weren't necessarily going to do this, but most tournaments i've seen in the character boards follow one or more of these paths with ignorance.)
If your opponent mains luigi, they will know most of your setups, strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, to surprise them you have to change your enitre game around or do some goofy stuff to throw them off. It's always just a pretty awkward situation when i do luigi doubles..But isn't the skill the only thing you really got in a ditto match? But yeah, you basically hit everything that had to be said Faith :]
Yeah i see what you mean, but being able to change up your game play to accommodate your enemy is tough IMO. Luckily, i don't have to worry about that, since i rarely fight other Luigis xD.If your opponent mains luigi, they will know most of your setups, strengths and weaknesses. (and the whole "not a test of skill" thing i picked up in the pit boards from the likes of kupo and others, so i assumed it was true.)
