Wednesday fight night at Planet X

Thought I should post this as a seperate topic.

Every wednesday from 5-9pm is fightnight. For $10 you get to use the projector to play untill whenever from 5.

Issue is noone ever seems to show up when i go

anyways...

I figured a topic should be made to discuss when people will show up.

Personally this wednesday me and my nameless crew will be there.

We are the basic crew of now... we are probably the best out of our friends that will show up and we are the ones that usually play competitively looking for a way to improve.

and then a bunch of other peeps who are mainly not advanced but will be there never the less, should provide some entertainment.

I will see if I can bring my extra tv and an extra gamecube from now on... you still need to BYOC... hopefully I can get a discount for bringing my cube and a tv (please zero? )

Anyways I hope to see many of you MI smashers there in the future.

You can lookforward to a healthy heaping of my peach's backside in your face when you arrive.

hmmm... first off, is fight night garunteed to be ssbm sometimes? and does your tv have an av out jack on it (so i could bring my vid equipment and capture some matches)

But no. One of the tv's has av jack in, and I may beable to bring a vcr with an av out jack if this would help you.


Sorry.. forgot to mention... Fight night is not complete smashbros. Technically it is open to other games. However, usually the people there just come to play smash so...

Basically every week i've been there it has been just smash. The people who come to fightnight get to pick the game to be played. So if people want to play smash it'll be smash.

Also I'll be bringing tv's so it will be purely smash on those.

don't count on it anther, i've got wednesday off work. (don't know if i have a car though)

for vid capture, i basically need the av signal to go both to the tv and to my computer, in the past, i've done this by using the av out on my tv. but if you have a vcr that will take the signal from a cube, and put it out both to the tv and to my computer, that would work, or i could just bring a vcr tape, and we could record throught the vcr, and i'll capture it when i get home (very slow as i'd have to play the tape into my computer at real time, so it could take like 6 hrs, and then be split). but it'd be doable.

But if you people are up for MM's that would give me the chance to earn back the money I have to pay, things might work out.

Dr. Science, if you want to bring a vcr, i'll bring a tape or two to record on, and then capture/ split/ upload in the week afterward.

Why not just get a composite video Y-cable? Then just split the video directly from the gamecube. You have to choose where you want the audio to be though (unless you feel like buying 3 Y-cables). I think they're fairly cheap, depending of course on brand name, and they're probably packaged as composite audio Y-cables, but they're all the same thing on the inside.

On another note, I can't make it this week. Maybe next week.

yeah, i thought of composite video y-cables ealier today actually, and yeah, you'd need 3 (for optimal use), but it'd be better for me to bring a vid tape than a bunch of equipment (including my laptop).

Also, any one want to give me a ride tomorrow (later today for those technical players)?

Well anther showed up today and me and my crew got whooped on pretty bad I'd say.

My peach took his pika to 1 life and so did my friend's falco.

The only one of my crew to beat anther was my friend troy... he won with 2 stocks left but i didnt see the match so I don't know with who he beat him with.

All in all i'd say it ended well with a lot of fun matches. The ditto matches at the end were great....

Haha, that was a great night Science. Thanks to everyone who came out, we ended up having about 8 guys come. Someone also brought their PS3 and was playing Virtua Fighter 5 for like 3 hours lol.

I picked Yoshi on a lark on anther and realized that I'm just short of being able to beat his Pikachu with him... I'm not going to main yoshi from that but it reignighted my passion for him.

What was up with those Captain Falcon b-button only matches? LOL.

The memory card thing was pretty hilarious. It has my freakin name on it, how do you STEAL something like that? He came back quick when I called his parents though haha.
