Weaviles also learn a wide moveset of TM's making it possible to have other moves.

Huge attack stat and speed stat, makes it pretty formidable.

There always Electivire, even though I think hes pokeball food..

Also, Lucario will defenetly be in it, since what else is Sakurai or whatever his name is gunna think of? Most likely something like Weavile but they promised a few new PokeChars, so Lucario has a good chance

I guess so, it's an interesting and cool duel type, and one of the popular and first DP ones we learned of.
I'd like him to appear in it, but I think Lucario has a better chance unfortunately.

SGt frog, you have to remember that 2 pokemon isn't the limit

But we don't want a abundance of characters from one franchise, even though Pokemon is very popular, we don't know how the ratio of characters is set out in Brawl, how many we're going to see for each franchise. We might be only getting four or five Pokemon this time round, and even that to me, is quite a lot. All depends on how many Sakurai is putting in.

i was thinking about the character contrast, but for how many pokemon to how many characters are in other video games, you'd think they'd have a bigger ratio. I mean there are 493 suckers up for the pick. And weavile the evolution of Sneasel, go figure.

Weavile? No thanks. Meowth has a better chance that Weavile does. But as I like to think of ideas for special moves, I think I'm going to give this a shot.

Neutral B - Faint Attack: The move would work in a way like the Fox Illusion, but it would have Weavile make a invisible-like dash both forward, slash and then back to its starting position. It wouldn’t hurt people that it went through, but if there was someone who made it to Weavile’s starting point, then it would slash them as well.

Forward B- Metal Claw: Weavile’s wound wind back its hand, and it would glow metallically. Weavile would then throw his claw (blow a bit out of proportion like some character’s attacks are) and it would slam the ground, damaging anyone hit, and throwing up a few rocks. The rocks could damage the opponent, but they can also grabbed them and throw them back as well.

Up B- Icy Wind: Weavile curls into a ball, as it is blown upwards by...a icy wind. Weavile wouldn’t damage a opponent with its own body, but if the opponent touch the icy wind, they will take damage, and have the possibility to freeze. The direction could be controlled a bit, and would essentially be a slow version of Pikachu’s up B by nature.

Down B- Dark Pulse: Weaville would crouch down, and a rapid dark pulse would emanate from it, damaging any opponent who touches it. It can be held down, so that the pulse stays there, but the longer this is done, the weaker and smaller it becomes. It can be penetrated by projectiles.

Probably pokeball food if he is even lucky enough for that. Their are way too many pokemon.

Weavile would be an excellent edition to super smash bros. brawl and would be a better choice than Lucario...

As I see it, Weavel is Lucario's main competition for "newest gen rep" (Ie: a Pichu replacement)

Lucario has the advantage for out-of-game support, but Weavel dominates the tourny scene, I've heard.

ok that move set is pretty good.
I would make weavile a very fast character comparable to fox, but unlike fox also a very damageing char. the dowside is that weavile has VERY low defense and takes loads of damage.
walk: nothing special just a walk
run: weavile pretends to ice skate.
Traction- very low: he's and ice pokemon so he slides around, luigi wavedashing!
i would swap dark pulse with avalanch.
Down B- Avalanche: Weavile lifts his arms up and stands there for a moment if a move hits weavile during this time a bunch of snow apears over he attacks owner and does double the damage back to the owner the attack did. Weavile still takes the damage from the attack. if no attack hits weavile during the active part of the attack then weavill trips and is vunerable when getting back up. this couterish move would not be as abusable as maths counter since you still take damage and it has more lag but sinse it does double percentage back and weavile has low defence it could be a good way to rack up damage. Weavile suffer no knockback for the hitthat is successfully countered. Does no knockback.
I would also change faint attack to well..... faint attack.... but different.
B- Faint Attack: Weavle fades out for a sec(cant be hit while fading/invisible) then slashs the direction pressed or if no direction is specified just reapears in the same place.

More stuff as i think of it:
tilt forward A: a sideways claw swipe
tilt down A: rakes at the ground in front of it
tilt up A: bunts up with its head
Dair:upside down drill with claws
Nair: a swat with claw that has good know back
Bair: hold both claws out one on each side pointy part down, functions as sex kick but not a kick.
Uair:Flails claws upward, floats weavile in place for a moment

smash forward: swings claw downward on enemie(think slam dunk meets marth forward smash) bounces them of the ground to comba into an air move. charged version a double hit of the same thing.

Smash down: holds out arms one facing forwards and one facing back and does a spin sending the oponent behind you charged verion goes further.

smash up: think donkey kongs up smash except be caught in between two nasty sets of claws. pressing grab button just as this connects with an air opponent pulls them down into a grab.

Grab: holds you between claws.
Grab attack: kicks them in the gut
Forward throw: bash them on the ground then throw forward
back throw: tosses them on the ground, then hops up and rakes them under and behind it.
down throw: pushes opponent on the ground then hops on them and drills them.
up throw: holds them above head and ice punches them stiaght up into the air, chance to freeze.

FINAL SMASH: Hail?
Weavile calls a hail storm and hail buffets the feild hitting all oponents for about 10 sec durning which time weaville is free to move and attack buffeted opponents. (think unowns pokeball but full screen) at the end of the hail all oponents are frozen but can mash out of the freeze without too much difficulty.

Taunt: Weavile sticks its tounge out quickly, then a small gloved hand apears in front of it and bekons, if the hand touches somebody can not use b attacks for 5 seconds
(in case you didn't know taunt is a dark type move in pokemon)

lemme know what you guys think im just building off of Pieman0920's stuff.

regardless of whether you think it can make it tell me what you think of the move set.

Weavile would be sh*t in Brawl, period.

Sorry, but Weavile doesn't have a large enough fanbase to get in. =/

Though he'd be cool.
Everyone who plays pokemon competitively know who Weavile is and know that they will have to send in their defensive pokemon to avoid getting completely swept by Weavile... So i think it has a big enough fan base

yea, awesome post. and you're absolutely right. the people making suggestions for pokemon in brawl are ruining the entire game. im pretty sure i read somewhere that sakurai actually hates pokemon sooo much, but feels obliged to put them in because on the smashboards forums people like us suggest them as viable characters to use. you have excellent deductive capacity.
