we need the option to play stock online

Uh, you do get the option... If you're hosting a game, you get to adjust the match settings, after that I believe the loser gets to set it up

For Glory 1v1 is done in timed stock format.

That said, having a stock option for co-op (same-console) teams would be glorious.

no you dont…go to "with anyone" online…you dont get to choose stock…only if you go to "with friends"…and if you go to"with friends, you have to pray somehow 3 other ppl on your friend's list goes into the room…which has never happened

You didn't mention the " with anyone" part... and as Raijinken stated, For Glory 1v1 is stock based. The reason you don't get the option is because there's no "host" as such, therefore the settings have to be universal. It could probably have been done differently (like "I'm looking for someone to play stock battles") but then you have the issue of the matchmaking system trying to find someone else with the same settings as you (let's say for the sake of argument you want to play with 42 stocks. How many other people in the world at that time are also looking to play a 42-stock game?). So there needs to be some restrictions somewhere in the case of "with anyone" mode.

And you don't need three other people to join your room in "with friends" order to play, one other person is enough too.

I kinda understand why they don't let team battle go down to 1 vs 2.
Plus For Glory 1v1 is Stock which is perfect.
and I'm also pretty sure you can set up your own room/rules, no?

I can perfectly understand why Sakurai wants to stick with time matches when it comes to For Fun mode or 4 player For Glory matches and doesn't want less skilled players to feel left out....

.....now why these matches all need to be two minutes or why we don't get the option to choose the stage on the other hand....

plz dont defend this…things wont change if ppl keep defending this...online needs more customization…as it stands, everything is dictate to us. the only more where we can change anything is "with friends" and it is next to impossible to communicate with ppl on the game, and impossible to invite them to your room, which should be a very basic function

how is that different from pulling the plug when you lose timed? stop making excuses for change…this will not destroy the game by having stock…smh

On one hand, it's disappointing that they don't allow 2v2 to be played with stock. On the other hand, if that were the case, griefers would just SD as soon as they could and then grab their popcorn as their teammate has to fight 1v2. Then again, they sorta already do that.

I wish 2v2 FG was stock as well. Also wish team attack was on. I can understand why it isn't, but it seems like every team we come across has one player spamming projectiles at the side of the stage and other being the aggressor. It's definitely harder to beat Little Mac when he also has arrows flying out of his body lol.

I find myself only ever playing For Glory 1v1 because I'm really not a fan of timed matches. Would it really be that hard to just have a "Timed or Stock" option for every mode?
