Okay, so here's the deal - when making a PSA hack, so far, people are pretty much limited to using SFX that their base character already uses. And that can be a real drag, especially when you're trying to make an entirely new character who doesn't resemble their base at all.
What we need... is a universal SFX list.
The main problem with this, of course, is that there are OVER 9000!!! SFX to sort through, and no way to tell what they do, how they work, or who can use them without tediously picking out random numbers and checking to see what sounds they make, and lets face it, who's going to do that when you can just wait for someone else to?
However, I would presume (tell me if I'm wrong) that there is a way of using Smashbox to find the filenames of every sound effect in the game. We already have a list for all the universal GFX - both a user-described list and a game-ripped set of filenames written in perfectly understandable Engrish (and, in the case of GFX, a Youtube video showing what they all look like). But when it comes to SFX, all we have is one small list of a few effects, which is OK, but when we want an effect that doesn't show up in that list, it can be like looking for a Star Rod in a haystack.
Owing to the colossal number of sounds available, all I'm asking for is the game-ripped filenames, which, if the GFX filenames are any guide, should at the very least give some idea of what sound lies in which location, Ripsticks, Piyos, and Clackers all. Yet I have been unable to get a hold of the smashbros_sound.brsar file, and my attempts at using WiiScrubber have all ended in epic failure. Would anybody who possesses the skill and the required programs be so kind as to upload such a list? We PSA users would appreciate it.
