Wavestopping?

I was just foolin around and thought about this its kinda of like CCing but in a different way you dash and then wavedash straight into the ground to completely stop you. Just wonderin if this had already been discovered and if there are any advantages to this.

Yeah, I've discovered that on my own before too. I think if you are fast enough with your fingers, it could be faster then crouch canceling, since you can do an attack as soon as you wd. If you want to up-smash though, JC up-smashes are still the way to go.
