Whenever I'm playing sombody and I shine (me being fox), wave dash out of it, then try to shine again, I cant because he gets knocked back too far and I end up shining nothing leaving myself exposed. Is there a way to allow me to shine, wave dash out of it, then shine him again without missing?

Walk a few steps after you wavedash out of the initial shine before shining again. Consistent waveshining only works on certain characters though.

Either you're A. not perfect wavedashing or B. you're simply doing it to early

most waveshines involve walking just a tiny bit as the person above said

if you're talking about the horizontal infinite waveshine (peach, link, zelda only), it works best (for me at least) to waveshine>waveshine behind them. the reason for two waveshines in each direction is so that you're moving while you shine them the second time, so you have momentum to let you go farther (in relation to them). I don't use the "cruel" waveshine technique because it puts damage on too slowly, and the opponent can still DI to make it more difficult to do. I usually just drillshine ppl a few times (2-3x) it puts on 35-40% and only takes a little time, and can be done on more characters.
