Well, recently I've been picking Falco on training mode, and one thing that I have trouble doing is the waveshining. Most of the time I can do it, but sometimes I turn in the shine, and sometimes I don't waveshine a lot, and even when I dedicate some time to it, I never seem to progress. Does anyone know why, or could someone give me some tips on this?

If you turn around in the shine, it's probably because you're trying to waveshine backwards, right? In that case, you have to learn to jump and THEN move the control stick in the direction and then air dodge. If you don't, you'll just turn around.

Also, with Falco, his jump takes a long time to start up, which is why his wavedash/shine timing is different than a lot of characters.

You just have to keep practicing and practicing. I could only wavedash (let alone waveshine) maybe 1/10 times a month ago. Now I can do it 9/10. You just have to get Falco's specific jump timing down.

yeah, like what everyone else is saying, its falco's weird wavedashing thats causing the problems..

if you mastered wavedashing already as falco, then its only a matter of JC the shine timing to work on...

but at least for me, when wavedashing with falco, it feels like ages after i press the jump button before i can actually airdodge to wavedash... but that could be just me =P

For JC shines, I now use the tip of my thumb for Y, and the center for B. Rather than sliding. You can do it if you're fast enough.

just fyi if you're used to playing fox then that cud be why cz falcos waveshine is a lot slower than foxs.
