Waveshine Trouble >=|

I am getting down wavedashing and shining in place quickly but alot of the the time when I try to waveshine it does it sometimes , but even though im pointing in the right direction like i am before it does a side B. It does the phantasm and the shine but it switches on and off.

where should i be pointing the control stick? I usually hold it down right or left in the corner of the octagon.

not exactly sure what you're saying... the Fox FAQ sticky should be where you ask this, but i'll answer it now that it's here. (i'll try to, but i'm not sure what you're asking).

I waveshine by pressing down b, rolling the control stick to the right (say we're going right), optional: jamming to the right for a dash (on some characters a dash is required, sometimes even a fox trot), roll control stick back to down, and press b.

So say i'm waveshining a peach (which i do a lot). My left thumb is continously rolling from down>right>down>repeat. and my right hand is shining and wavedashing at the right times.

What you are doing wrong is simple, you are thinking there is single direction to hold it to do it.. No, the pros actually do move their fingers that fast

What you need to do is Down B --->Jump Button You Use WHILE sliding to wavedashing position (you know how to aim wavedashes?) ---> air dodge..

While you are practicing, just think "shine wavedash shine wavedash"

You will get faster, trust Me

if youre really having trouble just make sure your wavedash goes below the horizontal axis and you can run/walk a bit after a shine before the stun time is up.
