Wavedashing really gone, or revealed?

I'm having some trouble while looking at this video of snake and link fighting, at about 4:43 seconds snake grabs link and lays him down on a mine, then rolls away to taunt, after that the bomb explodes and link flys up. At about 4:47 Snake looks like he wavedashes forward then jumps!

I've watched this over and over and it looks like wave dashing to me, can someone see if they can confirm it better than I can.

so basically.... NO.

Yig is right. What makes you so sure that this could possibly be wavedashing? It's not like you provided any reasons as to why we should believe that it's wavedashing and not just dash animation.

To be honest, I just see a roll animation and then Snake crouching then getting up very quickly. That's it.

it looks a bit like it, but i think it was confirmed that directional airdodging can't be done in brawl and so I dont think it was a wavedash.

No, that is not wavedashing. I don't see anything weird happening. Perhaps you were looking at the dust cloud that develops when Snake first starts running?

Ya i saw the dust, and it reminded me of when I wavedash forward with link, I also believe that the demo for brawl may not completly be what brawls going to be like, what happened to crawling? It wasn't there in the demo!

The dust is also there when you simply dash, which is what snake did.

Why would they accidently reveal 3 characters yet to be announced in a video?

These things happen, but this is not the case now.
