As you know, the three eaters of smash have received a few tweaks to their devouring mechanics. After some testing I've actually noticed that there are some interesting differences between their item eating in this game.
Wario
-Can eat items and energy projectiles, and projectiles from items
-Eating items and projectiles from items (EX: Ray gun rays) heals health by 1% and slightly builds Waft
-Eating food (not Heart Containers) that already heal you will heal you by 1.5x more than normal (EX: Maximum Tomato heals 75%)
Kirby
-Heals 1% HP from eating items
-Cannot eat energy projectiles or projectiles from items
-Eating food that heals will not increase the healing amount
Dedede
-Can eat items and energy projectiles, and projectiles from items
-Does not heal from eating any of the things listed above
-Heals 1.5x more than normal from eating food
In short, Wario has more general benefits from eating, and can do it much faster and with less lag than the others, but he gets no suction effect with his standard bite.
PS: Eating explosives still do 5% to each of them and causes an explosive hit box to briefly cover their bodies upon detonation.
