Wanna start playing Melee competitively.

I don't know where to begin, blah blah blah I'm that one friend that can 4 stocks everyone of my friends and the only one that can wavedash, dashdance, DI, Lcancel, etc. But i really don't know where to start I wanna see where I'm at and every event is about 2-10+ hours away from me.

I would also recommend trying to dive into Dolphin NetPlay. That is of course, if your computer can run it smoothly. If it can, just make sure you are hardwired to make connection between matches decent. There are a lot of people in the IRC chat who are always looking for opponents. It will be a great chance for you to see how well you are in your current state of gameplay. This method will also help improve your game drastically!

try and shffl moves and not **** up at all at least like 20-100 times in a row, practice wavedashing back and forth on platforms , once u have ur char's movement down perfect you can worry about spacing

Have you looked for your local scene? There may be competitive players just around the corner and you just don't know them. Try the facebook group thread that is stickied.

Look at the smashboards regional area for a local smashfesting. If there is not a local scene and you suspect there is one hidden start your own smashfest.
