Walmart.com Release Date Corrected

I noticed a lot of people kept posting new topics about the release date being changed to March 8th/9th, despite the fact that the official Brawl site says otherwise.

So I just sent Walmart a quick little email to correct them on the issue. Shortly after, they replied and said they would fix it and were apparently thankful for the correction.

Thanks, the only store in the nearest town that sells videos games is Wal-Mart. Pathetic, I know, no real video game store... Though there is a EB Games about an hour and a half further away, but I couldn't go there on Feb. 10...

It's not. It's coming out on Feb. 10th unless the Dojo or Nintendo says otherwise.

Nobody said you should care what Wal-Mart says, but apparently some people care enough to be worried about a delay, caused by something incorrectly listed on the Wal-Mart site. It needed to be corrected, and it was. End of story.

and haha either Youko is very thankful or very sarcastic. I'm not good at telling the difference online but either way, you're welcome. =] Hopefully this will help reduce the delay topics...

EDIT:Canadian Best Buy does say September 30th

September? Wow. God I would hope not. I'm glad it's still Feb.

I honestly don't know why people would trust any other source other than Nintendo. I mean seriously, do people really think an outside source would know of a delay before the official company knows?

I think if you're going to pre-order the game, you should do it WITH TOYS R US. I used to work there when I was in highschool and they have the best deals. Their deals usually start on Sunday. Feb10 is Sunday...get it at TRU!

They usually give free stuff when you buy the game in its first week.

Super Mario Galaxy = Buy the game, get a $20 Toys R Us gift card free at the register, + a commemorative coin.

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl = Get a free Poke Stylus (either Daiga or Palkia) + a Pokemon themed DS Kit (a DS carrying case with a fat "pen" sized stylus with rubber grip) ($20 retail price) free.



I don't know what they're giving out with Brawl, but i'm pretty sure they're gonna have some kind of Toys R Us exclusive deal with Brawl. I pre-ordered mine with them.

Also...since I used to work there in the electronics department (RZone) for 3 years, I'm able to get the game a few days early when our store gets it from the trucks. PERKS FTW!
