So I have to say this first, I'm not the biggest fan of Waluigi at all and if he stays as an assist trophy I would not mind. But this is just to dream a bit for the hopeless - hope against hope.
I think the funniest thing Sakurai could do in his last DLC reveal is bringing Waluigi into the roster. I think it would be the ultimate send-off, like a mic drop experience. #Dontbothermeanymore
Waluigi could have a trailer with him being an assist trophy and then he transforms into a playable character. There's a difference in the texture quality of a trophy and playable character. It would be like Smash Bros. Brawl, when old Melee Mario transforms to his new Brawl look. That's just my imagination of how it could work out. Anyways, I feel for you Waluigi fans!
