Hello fellow smashers, with all the modern fighters getting in smash it's kinda getting saddening that theri are not as much retro announcements, especially when it's all out their and such

As such I belive only one fighter can combine the concepts of out their and retro

Vitual Boy for Smash

for those who dont know the Virtual Boy was a handheld 32 bit console realsed in 1994, it was marketed as a VR headset and its codename was VR32 during development

however loads of problems arise, first most the games didnt use the VR feature making the console kinda pointless, second the discount to cheapen the cost caused nintedo to make the screen in red and black causing eye strain, thirdly 2/3s of the games kinda sucked (sans telroboxer and VB warioland) and their were only a dozen games, as a result the console discontinued a year after realese

but that was from the past, today with such a troubled history people began to warm up to the console and ironically started to like it, and some like myself want it in Smash as a fighter

here is some pointers why the Virtual Boy should be in Smash

1. The Virtual Boy has potential to have a totally unique personality as a fighter, you could give it lots of emotion, maybe make it a meek fighter given a chance or a vengeful mechanical abomination

2. With all the terrible video game peripherals its moveset could reference those like the Power Glove or Rolling Rocker alongside the references to other VB games

3. Their has been a lack of new retro fighters, most new fighters nowadays are from the 2000s, those arnt bad choices but some retro fighters would be nice for variety and the Virtual Boy would work as a good surprise retro fighter

4. This commercial essentially already made a reveal trailer

What do you think, put Virtual Boy in Smash

I have also determined Virtual Boy's possible moveset

Gimmicks: some of its attack involves shooting lasers from its lens and using them as an attack, should they hit a fighter's face they will get blinded by the red lights and get dizzy, making their controlls backwards

Virtual Boy would have two jumps, be slightly lighter than ROB, substandard speed, and can use his controller cord to tether grab

Neutral

Virtual Boy will jab with his stand and use a series of kicks for his rapid jab

his dash attack causes red sparks to come out of his lens, causing the above mentioned backwards controls, however it has some bad start and end lag due to needing to be set up and the range is substandard

his down tilt will use his controller cord to trip up fighters and his up tilt will use the cord like a lasso

his side smash uses the first of many video game peripherals of dubious quality, he does a one two punch, one with a holographic Telroboxer fist and the other with a Power Glove, the first hit is quick but weak and the second hit is slow but strong

the up smash uses the U Force, a pad for the NES that allowed you to use you hands to control the character (kind of like the kinect), here he opens it above himself and sends a large beam of phycic energy (the same stuff Ness and Lucus use)

down smash causes a gaint N64 joystick to rise from the ground and spin rapidly, it hurts but it has loads of start lag

Throws

he uses his controller cord to grab opponents

pummel it some kicks

forward throw is a lasso toss

back throw is a laser black diagonally

up throw is the stand flailing about

down throw uses a 3D tetramino to press the opponent

Aerials

neutral arial has him swing his controller in a circle

forward air uses the spark attack but in the air

back air uses N64 microphone to send sonci waves

up air and down air use his Ultra Hand to clamp up or down, should he contact a fighter he'll start to grab it

Specials
Neutral Game Boy Camera
this move uses the Game Boy Camera that sends a feild of stunning flashing light which can paralyze the target, its weak but somewhat spam able

Down Special Game Boy Gas Mask (yes that's real)
this move he would use the unrealsed Game Boy Anesthetic Mask to latch on the player, mask on the opponent will get to sleep and make you free to attack

Side Special Rolling Rocker
He will use the LJN Rolling Rocker and try to run you over, he uses the rocker to surf over the group and can bury opponents, but if it misses hes pretty much a sitting duck

Up Special Power Pad
he will use the Power Pad to basically run on the air, opponents are vulnerable to trappling and it can be guided in its path but it will send him to free fall

Final Smash: Red Reality
a cinematic final smash that targets a single player, he latches onto a character and teleports the target to a alternate dimension of bright flashing lights, luckily we dont see that and the player will disintegrate if at high enough percentage

Alts
Famicom white and red
SNES Gray and Purple
Transparent
GBA Purple
Camo
Navy Blue
Pink
Jet Black

Stage Intro will simply be the console turning on and facing the screen

Up taunt is him looking at.the screen again and flashing a red light

Down taunt is him doing a somersault

Neutral Taunt has him jumping in the DK bongos

Victory 1 is hin getting a self portrait printed on Gameboy Printer

Victory 2 has him latch Lucus into his lenses based on that commecial

Victory 3 is the console flashing red turning the game screen red and black

Classic Mode
Rainbow of Fighters

This classic mode is based on the color of the rainbow

Red: Mario and Incinarour
Orange: Daisy and Charizard
Yellow: Pikachu and 2 Pichus
Green: Bowser and K.rool
Blue: Sonic, Mega man, and Squirtle
Purple: Boss (Galleom)

With that I fully created a Virtual Boy set
