why should a novel be challenging to read? that's an odd concern

my problem with it was the overreliance on the romance aspect -_-, people are dying and **** all over the place idgaf about no love triangle. And also because there were themes she touched on but didn't seem to explore enough... which would have made it a lill cooler.

that's not a reason.

doesn't make sense to make something hard to read for the sake of difficulty.

They didn't ****.

Seriously, I had to read through 400 long, sexless pages. All I got was **** like "action" and "character development"

im not speaking for swiss but im sure youve read a book and reacted as such:

"iight that was entertaining gg wp" and then move on without ever...taking something deeper out of it after blazing through the chapters or it doesnt stick with you [harry potter/redwall]

vs

"iight that was the ****" and then roll the themes and undertones around in your head after having to stop yourself during your read to digest and contemplate what the author is doing? [no country for old men i consider TRULY upsetting and disturbing/watchmen i can read several times and still catch things that flew past my head on the first second and third readings/monster i will never tire of reading/watching]

i dunno which category hunger games falls in
