Version Exlusive Characters?

Hey guys, have you seen Wii Fit Trainer's official pictures on the official website? How none of them are on the 3DS? Well, even though the roster for both games will be the same, we may just be looking at one of the few "Version Exlusive Characters". Wii Fit Trainer has not yet appeared in a Sm4sh 3DS Picture (as far as I know), and I consider her a version exclusive character.

Sakurai said that the games would have the same amount of characters, but never said anything about them not being version exclusive.

What do you think? Is Wii Fit Trainer a version exclusive character? Or will she appear in the 3DS version?
(Another Question: Are both Links in the 3DS and Wii U versions version exclusive designs?)

Then again, I could be wrong about this. This is up for you guys to speculate.

Version Exclusive characters have been dis-confirmed. Multiple times.

The only thing differences between the games will be the stages.

 

[Curious Villager]

There are going to be a few version exclusives besides stages according to Sakurai. But characters is definitely not it.

Oh and Wii Fit Trainer and Villager are both advertised for both games. Just look at the bottom left corner of both posters.
