"V2: The New GamePad Elite" Central VA Crew

Still Alive!
We are V2. Our Story:
Late in 2008, a small group of smashers who regularly visited the GamePad LAN center in Central Virginia ventured into unfamiliar territory: their first Smash Tournament at "C3". The Original GamePad Elite roster included MattyP, Bolt, Kojin, Oracl, and Zero. Representing the best of Fredericksburg, the crew entered the Singles Bracket... and let's just say they realized they needed to step it up. Big time.

Some members were dis-heartened and gave up in their training, some members were added. Headed by Bolt over the next few months the team traveled to tournaments and progressed in their skills.

In early June 2009, Bolt believed the crew would better at another local LAN center, and all but Glyph and MattyP became "Wall Street."

No hard feelings. MattyP and Glyph decided they wanted to remain at GamePad, and form a new team. Bert was quickly added, and V2 is currently holding tryouts to expand further.

Current Members - Tier 1:
The Tier 1 members are the best representation of V2. They are committed, experienced, and are regular tourney attenders.

Current Members - Tier 2:
Tier 2 members are considered uprising Smash players who are training with T1 members. Any T2 member can become T1 members with a majority vote of approval. Don't let your guard down on these members, though!

Wall street will battle this crew once you guys get your Tier 1's situated. Just let us know. And no, I don't think using one of our own crew members against us would work too well in your favor..

I don't want it to be seem like a repaying thing because of that time you saved my *** with the jump with the battery MattyP, but if you ever need an extra for a crew battle I'd be happy to play for you guys. Probably both Amon and I would play for you guys being that we're the only ones that have been to enough tournaments to be prepared. Just an offer though, I'd understand if you wanted GPE only to play for you.

TwentyTwo, how about you and Amon just join up/try out for the GPE.. that way you won't get crew johns from crew's when they say "strictly crew members", and trust me they will pull "If you can pull someone out of nowhere, then we can" shenanigans.

Plus, are you guys even in a crew? Crews are tooo fun! XD The two of you are solid players, the GPE could use more dedicated players on the roster, what you Tier 1 V2's think?

No pressure though 22, I just want to see my ex-crew step it up and get on the battle field to get those wins! It's strictly up to them, just thought I'd see where everyone stands.

I actually have a group of guys i play with, so yeah I have a crew I'm just too lazy for this making a crew thread mumbo jumbo. And only Amon and I are the only ones I feel are somewhat tourney viable, the others are getting there though. And the only other few problems would be fredericksburg being a bit far from us. So, I'd be honored to be an honorary or something like that, but nothing more, no offense.

Well I'm pretty sure we're going to keep 5 in our Tier 1, 'cause that seems to be about the size of an average crew battle. We could do more or fewer, though.
I'm not sure how many we'll have in Tier 2, however. I'm thinking 5-10, if there are even that many more Smashers in Fredericksburg. lol
Maybe if we do Honorary Members they should be Tier 2 as well?

Honorary Members aren't really members. They are just supporters of the crew. If it were to come down to it, honorary wouldn't be allowed in crew vs crew, only solid members would be allowed to compete to express dominance.
