Smash Journeyman
I remember talking to a friend of mine while he was playing Street Fighter 3rd Strike, and he pointed out to me that when each character in SFIII taunts, different things happen, like Ryu's stun gauge will lower or Q's stamina raises. Then I remembered that in pro wrestling games, taunting raises your stamina or health (at least it did in the WCW vs nWo game I played on the 64 way back when.) And even Soul Calibur has the soul charge mechanic, where you do increased damage for about 10 seconds or until you get hit.
So, why not make taunts remotely useful in Brawl? I'd personally be rather surprised if this isn't done. It could be a global benefit, perhaps a 5-10% heal, or momentary increased damage of +1% or something, maybe even use it as a Final Smash charge (although that would be highly, highly, highly unlikely.)
It's not a loss at all if this mechanic isn't in game. I'd just be minutely disappointed if it isn't implemented.
