Use of Down-spec

Alright, I'm a low level player, and my question is:
Arrows and lasers aside, what projectiles is it best used against, and does it have any other applications? I'm having trouble finding a straight answer.

Help would be much appreciated.

DownB can block physical attacks, or can be used to gimp characters when it makes contact with the shield by flipping them around sort of like Mario's cape.

Didnt we just have another thread asking about Pit's Mirror Shield? However, DONT and I repeat, DONT use it against Tl or Link's Bombs for you still may get hurt from the blast radius.

Don't use it so much for blocking projectiles so much, yes it can, and can be nice against R.O.B. Samus or things like that at times. But its not really fast enough to come out or put away so it give them time to attack you with its ending lag. I really only use it against recoveries or if someone is trying to edge guard me.

Idk i think the shield is fast enough, if it does come out to late it can still give u super armor to survive the blast you take. That and its tons faster then the Angel rings. Its long lasting

As for explosives, a jump mirror shield is good to reflect them and avoid the blast.
