USC vs. UCLA tournament -- looking for players

USC vs. UCLA tournament

The tourney is tentatively scheduled for the night of Friday, October 19th. We're trying to find players from both UCLA and USC (you can be alumni). This tournament is still in pre-production, and I'd appreciate any information you guys can help me with -- namely the following.

Please post if:

1. You're interested in competing.

You can be either a student or alumni of either school.​

2. You know of conflicting tournaments around the same date.

I'm not sure when Pandatration or OC3 is being held, but if there's anything significant going on in October, we'd obviously like to avoid it.​

3. You can refer me to anyone who might be interested ... or if you have other useful info in general. Bleh.

guys , why dont we make this an all UC crew battle.

i mean, how big can the USC vs UCLA event be? just 1 crew battle and thats it...
and no we dont wanna see a 40 on 40 stocks with noobs from their schools...that means nothing.

lets just have an all UC crew battle again because we all know riverside is too strong now.

on another note, SD is getting good again, and irvine has some good players also. UCS has...who?

I don't know of any USC players, but if they exist I'd be happy to smash with them on my free time since campus is 2-3 minutes from my house.

Unfortunately, this event is sort of out of my control. I know the UC's are where it's at in terms of Smash Brothers, but as of now, it's just the two schools, noobish as we may be. (Sorry, but noobs play the game, too, you know.)

That said, I really do want to host a huge tournament at USC -- hopefully it will get more people here interested in Smash -- so I'll see what I can do and update this if we can involve more schools.

we've all just been wanting a big UC event again since ken's biweekly.

No worries. Even if this one involves just the two schools, I'm interested in hosting something like you're talking about; the club I'm in does have the underlying goal of making videogaming a competitive sport. College-based competitions are great for that.
