I've solved the problem below, but I'll keep it there incase someone can learn something.

I finally found a way to record my videos. I got the ~150MB mpegs down to ~40MB avis. Now I'm uploading them to youtube. After about 1 hour, the first video still hasn't uploaded.

I want to know if, when I open multiple tabs and upload a video file in each one (there are 10 vids in total), it will reduce the likelihood of a successful upload or not, and/or if I will have to wait even longer?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey.

I just realised that I *THINK* that I have a video-capture card installed on this computer already. I know for sure I don't have the cables though.

In any case, I want to know if I have anywhere to put said cables upon purchase.

Here is a shot of my laptop. The other sides of my laptop have nothing significant. This is all there is that might be important.

In order of appearance, incase you can't read the little symbols, those ports are:

S-Video port, VGA Port, Expansion Port (for HP QuickDock), Ethernet & Modem Jacks, HDMI Port, 2 USB Ports, Firewire 4-pin Jack, Multimedia Card reader (with SD card inserted)

I knoww there are threads on how to do this, but they all seem to assume that I am not a total moron, and thus would know whether or not I actually have a video capture card.

Anyway, help plz! Can I record vids?

Nope, sadly basically all laptops only have video out, not in. You'll need to buy a USB capture device like the Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder.

Thank youuuuuuu for replying.

Alright, well, it's good to know that's not an option at least. I can stop stressing.

I can't get one of those here, and I'll be leaving the country before it'll arrive if I ship. I need a camera, and the one I have my eye on has great video. If it doesn't work, and I still have cash, I'll get one of those.

Until then, do you have any idea how to stop the black flickering when recording a TV screen with a camera?

Yayyyy.

My brother bought a new projector, so I used my webcam to record the vids. I just need to shrink the files. They're avg. 120 MB.

Help?

Edit:

Almost at the finish line. Can anyone help with youtube? Information is at the top of the page.
