All this is, is a codeset that gives you tons of extra stuff but keeps the same exact physics in vBrawl. Which means things like tripping are still in. A replay played with Updated Brawl and a replay without Updated Brawl will be exactly the same.

What you will find there is:

  • ExBrawl.gct (the codeset)
  • The text file, so you can edit the codeset and add/remove whatever you want
  • Code Manager, so you can create a new .gct if you edit the codeset
What is in Updated Brawl?

  • Infinite Replays (Tags in Replay as well)
  • Default Settings Modifier, so you don't have to make your own rules everytime. This is currently set to the SBR Suggested Ruleset, which means 3 Stock, 8 Minutes, and Team Attack on.
  • Hold down a button on the stage select screen to make another song play. The list of what button makes what song play is here:
    • Dpad Left: Jungle Japes (Melee)
    • Dpad Right: Castle / Boss Fortress (Super Mario World / SMB 3)
    • Dpad Down: Yell Dead Cell
    • Dpad Up: Ocarina of Time Medley
    • Z: Song of Storms
    • R: Bramble Blast
    • L: Gerudo Valley
    • A: Fountain of Dreams (Melee)
    • B: Wild Pokémon Battle! (Diamond / Pearl)
    • X: Battle Scene / Final Boss (Golden Sun)
    • Y: Dream Chaser
    • Start: Power-Hungry Fool

  • NOTE: These work on Wifi, but your opponent(s) won't hear the song. Also, if you save a replay, the song will not be played in the replay. However, if you hold a button before loading the replay, any of these songs will play.
  • NOTE2: You can change any of these songs by going to the song you want to change in the text file, then editing
    Code:
D-Pad Left - Jungle Japes (Melee) [Heinermann]
    * 284DE4B0 00000081

Make sure you directly edit only those 4 characters on the text file for each song you want to change, because each code corresponds to a different button you have to hold.
  • Phantom Wing's File Replacement 3.5 code, which allows you to edit just about anything you can imagine (Character/Stage/Item Textures, Music, etc.). There are various guides around SWF for how you can do that, so I'll leave that up to you.
  • Unrestricted Pause and Replay Cameras
  • A fully functional custom CSS by Yeroc (the same one found in Brawl+)
  • Colored Shields, by Phantom Wings
If this sounds awesome to you, download it and give it a try!

I agree, I think the + is going to be confusing for people who won't bother to read the first post.

The songs, updated File Replacement, Colored Shields, CSS off the top of my head.

Not much really, but ExBrawl is never updated so I felt like this needed to be made.

turn around....
This is great, I'll get this as soon as I get finished collecting frame data for Fox.
The music thing during select, I can live without though.

I manually added the color shield codes to the ex brawl+ set. This is basically that with the music thing which i can live without since i already changed all the in game music anyway.

I don't see the point is this over ExBrawl, the other guy just hasn't updated his set in awhile and the music patch is only out for a week anyway.
just work togheter with that guy to avoid further confusion. we have enough sets already.

You said you felt this needed to be done? We already have Brawl+, Balanced Brawl and ExBrawl and you felt it needed to be done?

What's the point? People can manually add any of these codes in themselves, this is just... ugh I don't wanna be mean but seriously why?

Agreed. If anything, talk to the guy who made ExBrawl.

what is the problem exactly? the point is so that people can have an updated exbrawl, because the other guy never updated his.
