Hi guys i recently bought this item

The button configuration work fine in PJ64, theres only one major issue :( I can't run or Smash. It seems like my Input Plugin range was stuck under 44 ... But its not i tried several thing using the deadzone and the range config. I tried the N-Rage and JaboInbut Plugins ... Nothing worked. I've also tried another controller and it does the same thing ... Is my converter is ****ed up ? Do i need specific drivers or plugins to get it properly working or something ?

Can someone help me out please ? :) I really whant to play with my N64 Controller :(

Is anybody playing with a USB Converter ? If so wich one is the best out there that i could buy if its needed ?

Thanks ! :D

Have you calibrated it in windows first? You should be asking in the Q&A thread by the way.
Yeah i've done it :( Sadly it does't change anything.

Any other suggestions of what this could be ? I know that malva is using N64 controller im wondering witch usb converter his using :) If you see this malva could you ask me ? :D

Thanks ! :)

Sorry if i posted in the wrong forum

*If a mod see this change it to the proper sub forum ;)

Hey adam- a lot of people play with controller. I don't know what your problem is, but if you can return that one, This one is pretty popular and works pretty well.

I use that adapter too. Make sure you calibrate your controller in windows then adjust your controller plugin settings in Project64K, 5 deadzone and 75 range is good for this adapter.

i use "1" deadzone and "100" range, reason is thats as close to the actual controller u can get with this adapter. though its best to get both closer to 50 for button mapping, or else the slightest joystick movement will be read for the mapping portion of controller settings; which is undoubtedly the most frustrating times I've had (before figuring out the 50 setting) with this adapter.

im sure 5 and 75 work fine, seeing as you have macro di on a joystick, boom.

Thank ill look forward to buy this one. ! :)

I use that adapter and it works fine for me. Not sure what the problem is with yours.
Its weird every button work fine except the joystick. As i stated its like if i had my range lower than 44 and i can't run, leave platform or smash :( Beside this issue every other button work fine :( I will retry to calibrate maybe i did it wrong ^^,

May i ask you what Plugin and version your using ? Do you installed some specific drivers or something to get it work properly ?

Thanks !

bro, your deadzone doesn't need to be that low. at 1, all you have to do is look at your controller wrong and it'll start trolling you hardcore, bro.

I am using Nrage v1.61 controller plugin for my controls. Version? Do you mean what version of Project64? If so, I'm using Project64KVE(there's a "k" there, stands for Kaillera and the VE means vista edition).

Whoa whoa whoa. Range of 46? I recently did some tests with range, and found that you need to be above 42% in order for "taps" to register. 46 is hardly enough for consistent tapping/smashing.

And 70% for your deadzone!? You do realize that renders like, well, 70% of your control stick useless? Your deadzone should be no higher than 3-5 for an N64 controller and no less than 10-13 for an Xbox controller.

Sadly i receive my Mayflash adapter today about an hour ago and this is not working either ... Thats really cocky ... 2 adapter same problem ? I tried different computer, different controller, different emulators and the same thing happens :( Why so ? Nobody know :( Ill just get off N64 controller and keep playing online with my PS3 one and offline with the N64 ... This is pointless using two different controller for the same game ... Why there's people get this working and mine isn't ? If anybody facing this issue in the future let me know if you found a solution to solve this mistery !

Can't run or smash using the Analog stick

Thanks !

Did you adjust your range and deadzone? Did you turn off Raw Data? Did you calibrate it in windows?

Sounds like a deadzone problem to me.

Okay, follow these steps:

1. Open control panel.
2. Under the Hardware and Sound section, click "View devices and printers".
3. Locate the gamepad and right click on it, selecting "Game controller settings".
4. Click Properties and then navigate to the Settings tab and click Calibrate.
5. Follow the instructions, paying careful attention to the joystick calibration. Continuously rotate the joysticks in circles until everything smooths out. Once finished, test it to make sure it works properly.

6. Download and put this plugin into your plugin folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?wsrq8ppoi1fquqq
7. Set up the buttons inputs and everything, etc. etc.
8. Set your range to 75% (uncheck Real N64 Range) and your deadzone to 5% (if using a genuine N64 controller)
9. Uncheck Raw Data under one of the other tabs.
10. Everything should work perfectly.

There is no reason anything should go wrong if you do everything detailed here, making sure you calibrate correctly.

Everything is fine :( Sadly none of those options solve the problem.
