How did this get to be about Falcon?
To the last pertinent question by greenblob, you can't sweetspot at all from below, at all. Ness just doesn't grab the ledge from below. It's like Firefox in SSBM, except I'm almost certain there is a lagtime where, even if you're right on the ledge, you'll do the turning over animation in midair, which usually makes you a sitting duck for edgehogs, Dsmashes, Fsmashes, aerials...

yes im pretty sure you just confirmed what i said and nothing more

as for counters if my main (pika) cant do it, id NOT go with Fox he is so easy to setup with Falcon (imo leave me alone Vex) but perhaps Mario, if you know how to Uair wioth Mario Falcon can be put into some awkward spots

It seriously seems that ness is seriously the underdog of 64.
C.Falcon may be fast but few of his attacks ko at lower percents.

Are you actully reading anything? How is ness an under dog? theres only 2 things about him that bring him down, His upB and his light weight, (which allows him get KOd easily but makes him harder to combo aswell)

^ i think it is better to say his recovery brings him down, not UB. i've seen people use UB properly for mindgames, combos and edgeguarding.
