Please post if you can bring TVs or Wiis + Brawl. If you bring a TV and/or a Wii + Brawl, you rock. We all know why more set-ups is better, so I won't repeat the reason here.

Set-up Incentive: If you bring a FULL SET-UP (TV AND Wii+Brawl), you don't have to pay the club fee.

Venue
UC Davis, Olson Hall, Room 6 (Lower Floor)
One Shields Avenue
Davis, California, United States

The address is to the university itself. To get to the venue, you'll need to park in Parking Lot 10 (P10) and then walk a ways down to Olson Hall. See http://visit.ucdavis.edu/map/map_detail.cfm?assetInfo=97

Important Information
Food in the venue is okay, on one condition: you clean up after yourself. I think everyone's responsible enough to clean up their trash, so please don't prove me wrong. If we have a problem with food and trash, there won't be the privilege of food in the venue next time.

There MAY be a 64-player cap put into place as per the request of the UC Davis Police Department. The BEST WAY to make sure you reserve a spot in the bracket is by registering for the tourney (by clicking "I am attending this tournament") on All is Brawl. UC DAVIS MONTHLIES RULES

Stock: 3
Time: 7 Minutes
Items: Off/None

FORMAT FOR POOLS
8 Pools
ONLY two games will be played
ONLY neutral stages may be used
Players with top two scores will advance to 16-player Pro Bracket
Ties will be broken by one 3-stock 7-minute game

FORMAT FOR PRO BRACKET
16 Players
Double Elimination
First stage is "neutral," and Advanced Slob Picks used thereafter

All regular sets are Best-of-3. Losers Finals, Winners Finals and Grand Championships are Best-of-5.

Ambiguous-Winner Resolutions
If the timer runs out, the victor of the match will be determined in this order:

1. Stock
2. Percentage
3. One-stock, three-minute overtime match

Sudden Death will NOT be played.

Suicide Resolutions: If a player ends a match with a suicide move (Bowser and Ganon's over-B, D3 and Kirby's Swallow) and the game counts as a tie, then the initiator of the move wins. If the victim of the suicide is shown in the game as the winner, then they win. It is your responsibility to consider controller port priority before initiating a suicide move.

Stalling, Glitches, and Infinites
Stalling is banned.

Meta Knight's Infinite Cape Glitch is banned.

Legal Stages
Starter stages are selected randomly. If both players agree, they can use the stage-striking system. Each player is allowed one "stage cancel."

Starter
Battlefield
Final Destination
Smashville

Counter
(All Starter stages)
Brinstar
Castle Siege
Delfino Plaza
Frigate Orpheon
Halberd
Jungle Japes
Lylat Cruise
Norfair
Pokémon Stadium 1
Rainbow Cruise
Yoshi's Island

*Yoshi's Island (Pipes) is NOT a legal counterpick.
*Any stage may be played as long as both players agree.

Additional Rules for Doubles

Life Sharing is allowed.

Team Attack is ON.

Other Rules
Advanced Slob Picks: The winner of the first game will choose a stage to ban. The loser of the first game will announce a new stage to play on for the next game. The winner will then be allowed to switch characters, followed by the loser. Apply the same logic for the third match (and fourth or fifth when applicable) if there is one.

Dave's Stupid Rule: You may not counterpick a stage you have already won on, UNLESS your opponent agrees.

Double-blind character selection may be called for the first match if a player so chooses.

If there is a dispute, players will determine controller ports with Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Modified Mages DQ rule: After a match has been called, if a player is 3 minutes late they will receive a warning. At 5 minutes late, they will be given a loss for the first game of the set. After 10 minutes, they will be given a loss of the entire set.

Guidelines
BYOC: Bring Your Own Controller.

If a dispute occurs during a match, PAUSE the match. Either resolve the issue with your opponent (both you AND your opponent must agree on the resolution) or call over a T.O. and have them resolve the issue.

If there will be a potential conflict with your ability to be present at a match, tell a T.O. and receive an OK on what to do. Do NOT just run off without saying anything.
