Ubisoft Representation in Smash Ultimate?

Has there been any Ubisoft representation revealed for Smash Ultimate so far? As far as I'm aware/willing to research, there hasn't been, which I find quite odd considering Nintendo's recent strong relationship with them. Of course, this strengthened relationship likely has existed since earlier in Smash Ultimate's development cycle, as Mario + Rabbids and Starlink were likely in development around the same time or even beforehand.

Another reason I think it would be strange for there to be no Ubisoft representation in Ultimate is that Rayman, Globox, and Barbara appeared as trophies in Smash for Wii U. So there has been Ubisoft representation in the past, making it weird for Ubisoft to be totally missing.

Ubisoft's also a bit of the odd-one-out with Smash Ultimate. Konami, Capcom, and Square Enix have already had playable characters in previous Smash games, guaranteeing their inclusion. Konami even got two new characters (Simon and Ritcher) and a new non-Castlevania Assist Trophy (Bomberman). Bandai Namco is developing the game, so they also have a playable character. Ubisoft though? No playable characters, no Assist Trophies, no Items, no Stages, no regular Trophies, nothing, despite their stronger relationship with Nintendo than any of the companies listed aside from maybe Bandai Namco.

I think there are three potential reasons for the lack of Ubisoft representation so far.
  1. There's just flat-out no Ubisoft representation in Smash Ultimate whatsoever. Odd, but Sakurai's a madman.
  2. Any Ubisoft representation is being hidden for a big reveal, like a playable character.
  3. The same as above, but for a smaller reveal, like an Assist Trophy or regular Trophy.
Anyway, I just think it's interesting that Ubisoft seems completely absent from Smash Ultimate so far. Thoughts?

I'm expecting to see Rayman in the roster, and some Rabbids as assist trophy. Ubisoft really deserves some representation, and not only because they have always supported Nintendo, but also because Rayman is a important character for plataforming games.
I would also add that, adding Rayman and Crash, in the same game with Mario and other Nintendo games, would just be awesome. The best characters of plataforming games fighting in one game... It's just what I need to dont ask for anything else from Smash, Rayman and Crash Bandicoot.

Ubisoft and Nintendo have collaberated for so long that it seems impossible for Rayman not to be included. Maybe he’ll be DLC?

Since Rayman, Globox and Barbara all appeared as trophies as well as appearing playable in Brawlhalla. Then his chances are greater then ever.

If the leak is real and he's not in the base roster.
DLC will be his opening.

Rayman and Crash, in the same game
This!
So much of this!

I agree it's strange. Mario and co have been in a Rabbids game and Fox has been in Starlink, so it only feels right that a Ubisoft rep should cross over in a Nintendo game. Rayman seems like the obvious choice: he'd fit right in and could have loads of crazy move potential. Plus, previously being a trophy must at least count for something. DLC maybe?

... Also seems fitting what with this Grinch leak that we'd be getting our first character created in France.

I don't believe the Rayman franchise is all that popular in Japan, which is the reason for his exclusion as a 3rd party. to Japanese audiences it'd make about as much sense as adding Gex.

EDIT: turns out I was correct. Rayman Legends sold less than 15,000 copies in it's first week. I'll do more research into Ubisoft's other franchises to find out if they're popular in Japan some time

Ezio Auditore appeared in Soul Calibur 5. I would presume that Assassin's Creed is popular over there.
