What types of player have you seen most of? I fall in the average category. What's super sad and frustrates me is that even against skilled players who put up a good fight, I can come out on top if I don't mess up. But I tend to lose at times due to people who keep rolling and doing the same moves. I can't understand why when I'm reading them like a children's ABC book.

I think the reason why lose to players who spam roll and the same moves over and over because you expect them to change. Most skilled players try different techniques if you punish for leaving them self wide open. They refuse to change up their techniques because they think it's the best strategy for the character.

About the question I can tell if this is for glory mode only or with anyone. I win most of my games just out of skill. I'm also able to adapt to most spammers. (Other then then guy :4lucario: depending who I play as.)

Typically i win unless im against someone that just combos the ever living gak out of me (rare to see) or lag is against me since i cant spam unavoidable projectiles/lingering hitboxes during the slideshow gameplay. Really hard to deal with a link spamming arrows when you move at 1FPS or worse thanks to lag lol.

Spammers are easily punished. Theres multiple ways to deal with them, one is simply outplaying their spam by weaving around everything, other is getting a stock ahead and just play the dodgegame until they get pissed they havent hit you in awhile and charge blindly. Which is what i usually do against Duckhunts that literally do nothing but spam clay pigeons and tin cans (any time i get close they roll away, dont even attempt to counter my jump in).
The only spammer that tends to give me issue is Shiek and its not because her projectile is op, its because you cant SEE it so its hard to dodge and it does just enough of a knockback to where you cant advance if it hits you (most projectiles unless you have some damage you still get closer before you get hit again).

You know you're fighting somebody who could win Apex/Evo/et cetera if they short hop into nairs or bair you when you're trying to recover from under the ledge.

Second option sums it up pretty well for me - I often find myself fighting decent people, and it's typical that I win. Of the matches that I've lost on For Glory, most of them belong to decent players who used characters that I'm still learning to effectively fight against, like Rosalina.
I haven't really come across a lot of spam, actually. I see people complain about it a lot, but for me, it's either that I get little to none, or it just wasn't significant enough to be notable.

Why is it that everyone else is finding decent people but I only get camping trash?

If I was consistently losing against skilled players, I'd be fine with it, but consistently losing against these guys has been slow, torturous, and humiliating. And it has been consistent.

I know I'm not good. I just wish I was not good with dignity...

Lol i feel ya there. If you just outplay me, counter me, read me, and spike me if you didnt outright clear me i dont get mad i go "Wp....ya ****.." in a joking manner lol. If you kill me or elude me for over a minute because of spammy play, then i get irritated.
Time of day you play makes a big factor. I used to play during lunch break between classes since i have about an hour/half to do so this quarter. I stopped because 9/10 of the battles are just spammy noobs. I still win just about all of them because i know how to deal with them all (shiek being the only one that gives me issues at all). However when i play later in the evening, spammers seem to be much less common and i face more real players.

First couple of days were easy breezy beautiful cover girl but after about 200 wins if feels like I'm being put up against others with high win ratios.

Dropped down to 85% win rate from 95% in the last few days.

I normally play against average players or players who are a little better than me. I like knowing that I can lose fights rather than just winning every game like I do against CPUs.

Mostly been seeing somewhat unskilled players that follow predictable patterns. Easy to punish and easy to do set ups on. Probably the only reason why I have a 90% win ratio after 300 games played.

I'm getting decent fights (that i win) mostly but every now and then i get some crazy good guy. I feel like if the circle pad didnt mess my inputs up every now and then id have more of a chance.

Though id still probably lose at my current skill level.

I get a really good variety for the most part...I mean, it feels like I'm facing more spammers than anything else, but if I actually look at the numbers, I would say that I'm fighting a decent mix. I've definitely had matches against new players who barely know how to recover from hits, and I've played against fighters who can combo the hell out of me. There are also the Diddy, Mac, and Jiggly spammers, but for the most part I find myself enjoying a variety.

For the most part, winning on FG isn't too hard unless I mess around and end up not taking the match seriously which ends in me dying.

There was only one instance where I met a player who was blatantly better than I was and that was a Ganon main named Hayden, or something similar, otherwise it'd be 2-0 or it would take at least 3 or so rounds for my opponent to beat me if they dont DC.

90% of my games have been against people who spam dash attacks and rolls, only to get grabbed, combo'd and dunked by mario

I'm still sitting on like an 80% win rate, though I don't really plan to start playing online a ton until after I finish my Challenge grid. Just gotta get all customs etc and that'll be done.
