1. At a certain percent you can chain nair Marth
2. learn how to waveshine (if you can't already) into the grab combo
3. Make use of shine when marth is recovering with >b
4. You can also use the light shield trick if you're in the mood for something different
5. use some laser game on larger stages (this will help mind game and add damage)
6. when on stages like BF STAY OFF PLATFORMS! You don't want to be above marth
7. if the marth has predictable c-stick patterns make use of your spot dodge

yeah, use the shl/ rshl (or even shdl/ rshdl) to make the marth come to you. they'll probably be wanting a grab, so watch out for grab setups (i.e. DD>grab, fair>grab, uair>grab,etc...). I disagree about staying off the platforms, it's important to not stay put on them for long, but you can move around on the platforms decently against marth (you might want to avoid them all together on stadium neutral though). another combo that works is the waveshine>nair: at lower %s you can nair>shine>nair>shine>uthrow>uair or something. Try dashdancing in and out of his range, bait an attack and grab (or usmash if you're close or need a finish).

Marth along with Falco are (in my opinion) Fox's contours.
Most people say Fox has no bad matchups but Marth gives Fox a heck of a time.
I think the trick to beating a Marth is to laser spam ALOT. If you are doing nothing just shoot.
Also up-throw to up-air kills Marth somewhat early. You can try and shine spike for a easy kill, but the better the Marth the harder it is to kill him like that.
Dont play Battlefield, Final Destination or Yoshi's story. All great Marth stages. Try and play Dreamland 64, Corneria, and MAYBE Fountion of Dreams.
Hope i helped!

What I do against the Marths that I play against, I WD and let them whiff me. After that, I come in with a shffl dair or nair, waveshine, then uthrow --> uair. Try to avoid staying above him for very long.

well what i can say man, marths is one of the 2 good characters to beat fox so, thats a hard character to beat 4 u, try to waveshinehim, if u cant, chaingrab him to the floor, and chain nair, thats what i think seriusly..

Spacing's very important. Learn to dd right outside of the Marth's range, and bait him with lasers until he does an fair/fsmash, then go in a simple uthrow -> uair chain. Don't get grabbed, you can easily lose 30% or more just by being grabbed once.

Shine spiking isn't too useful on Marth. Just lightshield, and after he lands on the stage, you can do a ledgehopped drillshine into more uthrows, or just a ledgehopped bair.
