One of Wario's strentghs is the fact that he has an odd flow, and he is hard to control. that's what makes him a challenge.
From my experience, good Wario's play passive aggressive, or in other words. safe but dangerous.
Wario's air game is what makes him so good. if you learn to beat out his better aerials and out-prioritize(or at least call) his other moves, he's gonna have trouble.
you're not going to be in control of him, however, you're probably going to have to wait for him to attack you. defending THEN attacking. so in a way, you can control him by forcing him to attack.
some of the more common basics of Wario are coming in from the air and either D-air(which auto-cancels off a short hop) or airdodge into an F-smash(super-armor) or grab.
The best way to deal with Wario's D-air, is Up-B, if you shield all the hits of D-air, you get a free up-b, however, if the Wario fakes you out and does a bunch of D-airs, then an Airdodge-grab. the screw attack won't be a good option, you wanna poke him away before he can land the grab. f-tilt, d-tilt and jab work for this.
If you manage to get him off the ledge, he will obviously try to use his bike to recover. if you tag him with a Z-air when he uses his bike(but before he jumps) he's pretty much dead.
If you played melee, think if Wario as a heavier Jiggs. same basic principles apply. great air control, floaty, great priority etc.
apologies for the kinda basic info there, but you didn't really give me anything to work with : /
