Trouble picking a pocket character (Ness main)

As a Ness main, I find myself struggling against certain match-ups (Rosalina, Diddy Kong and Sonic come immediately to mind) and I'm considering picking up a second in order to help counter those characters. I am considering Sheik, Toon Link and Mii Gunner, but I am open minded. Any advice?

Edit: Duck Hunt is also a character I struggle against, however I am not sure whether this is because of the match-up or my own incompetence.

Sheik is usually a good backup for bad matchups against your main and/or secondary. She can get in and put pressure on Rosalina and can out prioritize Sonic.

Sheik is all you'll really need - girl can really do it all. Will stop Sonic in his tracks and get in on Rosaluma.

Ness is actually my pocket cuz he's so fun to play.
